Tapsign has no account, no server and no analytics. Nothing you do with it leaves your Mac except the sign-in itself, which goes to Apple and to the website you are signing in to, exactly as it would without Tapsign.

The sign-in happens in macOS. Tapsign carries what Apple issues for that website, a one-time code and an identity token, from the system sheet to the browser tab that asked for it. It is held in memory only for that hand-off, never written to disk and never logged.

The browser extension reads only the Sign in with Apple request it intercepts on the page that started it. It does not read other pages, browsing history or form data.
